Description:
Goethals Memorial School’s Inter-Class Science Exhibition, held on 30th August in the Edmund Rice Auditorium, was a vibrant showcase of young talent. The event, inaugurated by Principal Br. Miles Allams, featured a variety of scientific models, demonstrating the students’ ingenuity and deep understanding of various scientific concepts.
Projects from Classes 3 to 9 ranged from experiments on light and plant structures to complex models of drones and the human heart. The results were as follows:
Classes 3 and 4: 1st – Light Travels in a Straight Line (Prahasit Mangar), 2nd – Parts of a Plant (Dreshal Thapa), 3rd (Shared) – Water Cycle (Adrien Subba) and Solar System (Anway Kumar).
Classes 5 and 6: 1st – Pollution (Devansh Agarwal), 2nd – Conservation of Nature (Raphael Abhigya Chamling), 3rd – Water Harvesting (Taheem Zaman Khan).
Classes 7, 8, and 9: 1st (Shared) – Drone (Shivesh Pradhan), Mirrors (Bhabya Prasad), and Structure of the Heart (Ezrah Cephas Lepcha). 2nd (Shared) – Electronic Devices and Drone (Utkritsh Chettri), Human Heart (Tashi Thandup Bhutia), and Lava Lamp (Sparsh Kumar). 3rd (Shared) – Circulation of Blood (Yuvraj Goswami), Flywheel Effect (Diganta Rai), and Air Cooler (Sayyam Agarwal).
The exhibition emphasized the importance of applying theoretical knowledge in practical ways, inspiring both participants and viewers with the breadth of creativity and scientific insight on display.
