Quality Education for All: A Workshop on Inclusive Communities A one-day workshop under the Edmund Rice Just Together initiative was organized on 7th August 2025 on the theme “Quality Education: Building Inclusive Communities that Foster Learning for All,” in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4. The programme brought together students from five reputed schools of the region—Greenhill, Glenhill, Victoria Boys’, Dowhill Girls’, and St. Anthony’s.
The day commenced with a welcome and an engaging ice-breaker session conducted by Mr. Bibhushan Pradhan, which encouraged interaction among participants. This was followed by an informative session on the Sustainable Development Goals by Mrs. Nisha Bhusal, enriched with a puzzle-based activity that enhanced learning.
The second half of the programme featured an impactful session on inclusion led by Mrs. Suman Lata Pradhan, who used real-life stories and a creative drawing exercise to highlight the importance of inclusive education. Students also participated in discussions and activities demonstrating how art, music, and technology can serve as effective tools in building inclusive communities.
The workshop further included a cultural ramp walk, a food-sharing activity, and the “Tree of Commitment” reflection exercise, all of which encouraged collaboration and creativity. The day concluded with a lively performance by the school band, the vote of thanks delivered by Br. Miles Allams, and the distribution of participation certificates.
The workshop proved to be a meaningful platform for students to reflect on and engage with the principles of inclusive education, fostering a spirit of cooperation, awareness, and commitment to building compassionate communities.
