Description:
In an effort to cultivate the art of debating among our students, Goethals Memorial School hosted an Inter-Class Debate Competition on 8th August. Students from classes 4 to 12 participated, showcasing their talents across four distinct categories, each addressing a unique and challenging topic.
? Classes 3 and 6 demonstrated their quick thinking and eloquence in the "Talk a Minute" segment.
? Classes 7 and 8 tackled the motion "Rural Development in India - A Myth," engaging in a lively exchange of ideas.
? Classes 9 and 10 debated the controversial topic "Temple Politics Has Eroded India's Secular Credentials," offering thought-provoking perspectives.
? Classes 11 and 12 engaged in a dynamic debate on the motion "The School Day Should Be Shorter," presenting arguments with depth and clarity.
The event was a remarkable showcase of intellectual rigor and public speaking prowess, with students delivering their arguments with confidence and passion. The winners were as follows:
