On 9th August, the students of Class 8C presented a meaningful assembly on the theme Overconfidence. Through a creative and engaging presentation, the class highlighted how unchecked confidence can often lead to downfall.
The assembly began with a lively scene where players, fresh from recent victories, proudly showcased their achievements. Spirits were high, and confidence seemed unshakable — but soon it became clear that this confidence was tipping into overconfidence. Convinced that they were certain winners of the upcoming tournament, some players began to slack in practice, while team coordination gradually weakened.
When the big day arrived, the results spoke for themselves. Shaky teamwork, poor execution of skills, and lack of preparation led to a disappointing defeat. What seemed like an assured victory slipped away, leaving behind not just the sting of loss but also a valuable lesson.
The key message of the assembly was clear: true sportsmanship is built on humility, discipline, and continuous effort. Overconfidence may blind us to our weaknesses, but consistent practice and respect for opponents ensure lasting success.
Class 8C concluded their assembly with a powerful reminder for all: Stay humble. Stay hungry.
