Description:
Goethals Memorial School celebrated its grand Annual Sports Day on the 8th of October, a day filled with athletic excitement and a showcase of school spirit. The event was attended by an enthusiastic crowd of parents, ex-students, and Brothers who gathered to witness the remarkable performances by the students.
The day began with a stunning drill display, performed by various classes. The precise formations and energetic movements captivated the audience, setting the stage for the day's activities. Following the drill, the principal and chief guest, Br Miles Allams, was escorted to the pavilion by the flagbearers of the different houses, marking the official start of the sports festivities.
One of the highlights of the day was the March Past, where students from all the houses exhibited their discipline and synchronization. The Red House secured first place in this competition, showcasing their impeccable coordination.
Throughout the day, students competed in various athletic events, demonstrating their speed, strength, and sportsmanship. In the end, the Green House emerged as the Overall Champion of the day, displaying excellence across multiple events. They also earned the Discipline Trophy for their exemplary behavior throughout the event.
